1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser or device. They allow remembering preferences, maintaining sessions, and improving security. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage for theme preferences.

2. Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary — Essential for signing in and protecting the platform. They do not require consent.
  • Functional — Remember preferences such as language or theme. They may be stored locally without a third-party cookie.
  • Analytics — We currently do not use third-party analytics cookies. If we implement them in the future, we will request prior consent.
  • Advertising — Soclya does not use advertising cookies or tracking for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party cookies

Cloudflare may set technical cookies for security, performance, and attack protection. We do not control all Cloudflare cookies; see their policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

No advertising

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or behavioral advertising networks in the current version of Soclya.

5. How to manage cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help.
  • Consequences — If you block necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use features that require authentication.
  • Incognito mode — Session cookies are deleted when you close the window.

6. Local storage (localStorage)

Soclya may store preferences in your browser such as theme (light/dark) and language. This data is not sent to third-party servers and you can clear it by deleting site data in your browser.
